Spring Classes
Mosiac Cowl Class - Class Dates April 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th from 6-8pm
$60 Class Fee
Do you love the beautiful colors and designs of Fair Isle knitting but fear working with two colors at the same time? Mosaic knitting is a simple technique, for knitting color patterns in your work using just knit, purl and slip stitches. You can choose to design your own cowl or get assistance to knit a pattern of your choosing. If you are feeling timid about designing you own cowl here are five free Ravelry patterns to choose from:
Or if are feeling adventurous and want to design your own here is link to some inspirational stitch patterns from the Barbara Walker collection:
You choose the yarn weight and needle size you want to use and we will work together in class to create your own unique project. My suggestions are colors with a stark contrast in value and a 24" long circular needle size appropriate to the yarn weight, i.e the needle size recommended on the ball band.
Class Dates April 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th from 6-8pm $60 Class Fee

Full Circle Tank/Tee/Sweater by Sarah Wilson or Togue by Pam Allen KAL - Tuesdays - May 7th & 21st 6pm-8pm
Togue Pond, named after a small body of water nestled in the mountains of northeast Maine, is a simple top with a curved hem that dips slightly in back. Its embellishments are few: A strong line of decreases to shape the armhole and clean ribbed borders at hem, neck, and armhole. Togue Pond will make a great addition to any wardrobe as a layering piece.
Full Circle is worked entirely seamlessly from the top down, this top implements clever construction through the use of provisional cast on and seamstress techniques. The easy cables give you something interesting to do in a sea of stockinette, and the details are in the finishing! The 3-page PDF includes charts and written instructions for the cable panel, and now offers instructions for working both short and long sleeves!
On The Beach by Isabel Kraemer Sweater KAL - Thursdays - March 7th, 14th, March 28th, April 11th 6pm-8pm
Cost: $60.00, 4 sessions
Instructor: Cathy
Skill Level: Advanced/Adventurous beginner - intermediate
If you are like me, you hate sewing seams. I find that the raglan sleeve style of most top-down sweaters are unflattering in that they do not define your shoulders, giving the impression of slumped shoulders and poor posture. The Contiguous Shoulder method gives the look of a set in sleeve while knitting top down seamless sweaters.
In this knit along, we will be working from a basic V-neck sweater pattern, On The Beach by Isabell Kraemer. I will be teaching you how to modify the neckline, changes you can make for a better fit, and how to add decorative touches such as textured stitches or decorative borders around the neckline.
