Shawl Love

I am still knitting fingering weight shawls and Jujuy by Joji Locatelli is one of my all time favorites. Mine uses bold jewel tones and I can’t wait to wear it this fall.
Reda chose cooler tones for hers as pictured above (top to bottom) Thunderstorm, Victorian Mauve and Poseiden. Pam from Wonderwool Yarns is creating some gorgeous colors this summer!

Wonderwool

Wonderwool is our new locally dyed yarn. Pam is creating fabulous colors on a variety of bases. These skeins are all fingering weight Superwash wool yarns in blends that include yak, cashmere, BFL, and merino; and all include nylon. These 400-600 yd skeins are great for shawls, socks, or lightweight sweaters. Stop in this week to see all the new colors!!

Christmas in July

Summer is the perfect time to work on holiday gifts or seasonal decor. These Wee Jolly Elves knit up in an evening or two and are rather addicting. I made at least a dozen last winter in assorted colors and sizes. They are a great way to use up leftover yarn and we have a few kits at the shop.

Simple Shawl

One of our Wednesday Knitters just finished this simple shawl, Reyna, by Noora Laivola, using one skein of a self-striping sock yarn.
